Aditional Info on Volunteering at Gaia Vista

If you are one of those volunteers that are into our off-the-grid primitive adventure and your not eligible for a volunteer scholarship then we ask that you pay a small fee.

In order to cover our administrative and operational costs, and to further assist the project monetarily we are asking that volunteers pay $195 a week, for stays less than 2 weeks, then $125 a week, which ncludes room and 3 meals a day..  Fees are reduced for those that extend there stay beyond 30 days depending upon the level of community participation etc.. Since we are a grass roots sustainability project and movement, we are therefore starting out on a minimal budget as we wait for financing to be complete.  Keeping this in mind, if you can afford to pay more, 100% of the money will go to essential supplies and building materials for the project.   You can even sponsor various aspects of the project and get additional perks. Let us know if you or someone you know may be interested in this aspect.  

You also need to budget at least $6 a day to be able to have some money to go out to dinner once a week, buy personal items etc.

We ask that all volunteers put in 20-25 hours a week while staying at Gaia Vista. We also have volunteer vacation option, for those that want to work less and pay more.

The following are some of the immediate opportunities for eco pioneers to come to Costa Rica and have the volunteer adventure of a lifetime.

Organic Farming / Permaculture
We are preferably looking for people with experience in organic farming and gardening, but are also accepting volunteers with little or no experience that have good energy and  a desire to learn and work hard.

Eco-Primitive Builders
We are looking for people to help build primitive huts, ranchos, tree houses, hiking trails and much more.  If you have experience in these areas or if you have general construction experience please let us know.

Organic Chefs
We are also looking for organic cooks that can prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.

Organizing and Research Assistance
We are looking for English speaking and Spanish speaking volunteers to assist with all aspects of organization and communication. This would include writing and responding to emails, making phone calls, doing internet research, copywriting assistance, marketing, blogging and web design etc. This aspect could be done where you normally live.
