The Gaia Vista Eco Resort to have two Eco Lodges and much more...
Be a part of Ecotopia in the making. Once funding is secured and construction completed, you will be able to experience living in the rainforest, perhaps in one of our treehouses, or just relax on your deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of an area that national geographic has called "the most biological intense place on the planet".
Relax and play in one of our many waterfalls and swimming holes, or just experience the troop of howler monkeys that make there home in and around Gaia Vista.
Enjoy a hike in the rainforest, discover our canopy tour, explore our organic farm, or enjoy some of the best beaches in Costa Rica which are only a couple of miles from Gaia Vista.

We are constructing rooms and condos to fit everyones budget and adventure level.
For those looking for a Deluxe Rainforest Eco Lodge experience, then once completed, you are welcome to stay in one of our deluxe bungalows or two bedroom rainforest suites. For the more adventurous we invite you spend the night in one of our tree houses in the soon to be created Ewok village, or just experience living in one of our more rustic cabinas.
All our rooms at Gaia Vista are going to be designed to blend into the land and are developed using a variety of sustainable building practices and alternative power.
In fact our entire resort will be off-the-grid and we will produce all our own power using a variety of micro hydro units and solar systems. Just living at Gaia Vista will become an education in all the latest green technologies; in fact you can even stay in a room where you produce your own power by riding a power bike for 20 minutes a day - how cool!
We are presently undergoing phase I construction and our more rustic eco lodge should be complete by May 2009. Stay tuned for updates.

Hiking Trails
Guests and community members of our rainforest eco resort will be able to enjoy a network of sustainable rotating hiking trails along the river, and in the hills of this incredibly beautiful rainforest valley. There are over dozen waterfalls ranging from 7 feet to 150 feet on the main property alone. Our property is the best and most beautiful place to hike in the entire area, and we will also be able to make money opening up our hiking trails a couple of days a week to locals and tourists in the area.

Canopy Tour
We will be developing a canopy tour that will rival anything else in Costa Rica. We will have a series of zip lines in the rainforest, with a unique component being you will be able to zip across over the river from one side of the rainforest valley to the other. The part of the property that this will be on is one the areas where the rainforest juts up steeply on both sides of the river creating a valley that is less than a hundred yards across at the bottom points, and perfect for an adventurous canopy tour / ride. The canopy tour would be open to outside eco tourists in the area 2 or 3 days week, and would provide a substantial income in and of itself.

Ewok Village
A series of several tree houses will be constructed up in the rainforest canopy where people can spend the night or just hang out. This would be created around 50 yards from our main eco lodge in an area that has 3 waterfalls cascading one after another, and has been named Tres Cascadas. We will also be creating a large communal hang out / kitchen treehouse to be used by guests and eco-village members.

Sky Hammock TM
Adjacent to one of the tree houses will be a Sky Hammock. We are not aware of this being done anywhere else in the world. The concept is that we would use a large piece of fishing net and drape it up in the rainforest canopy. This would be an amazing opportunity to just hang out and enjoy the rainforest. So that people can let go and learn to relax in our Sky Hammock, there will be a safety hammock right beneath the main one, and any fears of falling are only in your head; soon to disappear as you begin to relax and enjoy this special place.

Waterfall Hot Tub
There will be a naturally designed propane burning hot tub nestled beneath one of the more beautiful waterfalls on the property located only 100 yards from our main rainforest eco lodge.

Rainforest Health Spa
The Gaia Vista Health Spa will provide guests an oasis of relaxation and calm in a stressful, toxic world. Relax and enjoy a massage in the rainforest right next to the river, or heal yourself with Ayurvedic medicine, energetic medicine or bodywork. Exact healing modalities will vary depending upon which healers are living and working at Gaia Vista at any one time.
Organic Restaurant
There will also be a small organic restaurant on the property to provide food for paying guests. The restaurant would also be open for people to come up from the town below one night a week. A good portion of the organic food would be grown at Gaia Vista. Some of the food would be brought in from local organic farmers and this way we would help support the sustainable community at large. There are several organic farms in the area, and some specialize in growing for restaurants. There is even an organic farmer that stops at people's houses in the area twice a week and we could also buy from them.
